As the inauguration of the grand Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, a special Amrit Bharat train will embark on a journey connecting the land of Mithila to Ayodhya.

Starting from Darbhanga, this train will traverse through Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and finally reach Ayodhya, with a plan to commence operations from December. The railway authorities, including the DRM of Sonpur and Samastipur, have been given special instructions for this auspicious journey.

The Route and Inspection

The train will pass through the East Central Railway, Northern Eastern, and Northern Railway zones, with monitoring of the route by the respective authorities. The General Managers, DRMs, and senior operational managers of all three zones are actively involved in ensuring a smooth journey.

Inspection Details

  • East Central Railway GM: Anil Kumar Khandelwal will inspect the route on Monday, starting from Muzaffarpur and heading towards Valmikinagar. From there, the inspection will continue to Sitamarhi, with the final destination being Darbhanga.

The Attraction: Kesariya Color

The Amrit Bharat train will be a visual spectacle with its saffron color, symbolizing vibrancy and cultural richness. According to railway board officials, this 22-coach train will run at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour, promising a swift and enjoyable journey for passengers.

Worker-Focused Design

Designed with the working-class and laborers in mind, Amrit Bharat includes sleeper and general category coaches. The push-pull technology enables the train to pick up speed efficiently, offering a travel experience comparable to Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express, and Vande Bharat Express.

Fare Consideration

Consideration is being given to keeping the fare affordable, given the significant population of workers and laborers in the state. The train is expected to cater to both daily commuters and those making special journeys to Ayodhya for the darshan of Ram Lalla.

The Push-Pull Technology

The train employs push-pull technology, featuring engines at both the front and rear. This technology, known as push-pull locomotives, enhances efficiency and speed during the journey.

Celebration at Stations

On the day of the train’s departure from Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Valmikinagar, and Ayodhya stations will witness grand celebrations. Central and state government officials, ministers, MPs, mayors, and esteemed individuals are expected to grace these stations with their presence.
