Patna Metro to Build Half a Dozen Underground Stations by May 2026
The goal is to complete the construction of six underground metro stations in Patna by May 2026, with 48% of the work already completed. These stations include Rajendranagar, Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna University, PMCH, Gandhi Maidan, and Akashvani. This route corridor-2 will be approximately six kilometers long and is being constructed by L&T Limited at a cost of around 2,095 crore rupees.
Inspection of Construction Work Conducted by Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited
Santosh Kumar Mall, Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited, conducted an inspection of the construction work on Thursday. During this visit, he also visited the casting yard. Officials from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation informed that all work at the casting yard will be completed by December 2024. To speed up the work, Mall directed the deployment of around 2,000 to 3,000 workers, as the current number of workers is comparatively low.
Progress and Directions for Patna Metro Project
The casting yard is currently being used for the casting of ring segments along with the excavation of the metro tunnel. During the inspection, it was found that approximately 9,538 ring segments are required for the construction of the underground tunnel, but only 2,111 segments have been completed so far. The Managing Director has given directions to expedite the work in every possible way, including the storage of sand near the yard to ensure uninterrupted work during the monsoon season. He also instructed the quick completion of the land acquisition work for the Radha Krishna Temple.
पटना मेट्रो के निर्माण कार्य का लक्ष्य है कि मई 2026 तक आधा दर्जन भूमिगत मेट्रो स्टेशन तैयार हो जाएं। इसका 48 प्रतिशत काम पहले से ही पूरा हो चुका है और इसमें राजेन्द्रनगर, मोइनुलहक स्टेडियम, पटना विश्वविद्यालय, पीएमसीएच, गांधी मैदान और आकाशवाणी का मेट्रो स्टेशन शामिल है। इसमें 2095 करोड़ रुपये के बजट के साथ एलएंडटी लिमिटेड की मदद से निर्माण कार्य हो रहा है। पटना मेट्रो रेल कारपोरेशन के एमडी संतोष कुमार मल्ल ने निर्माण कार्य की निरीक्षण की है और तेजी लाने के लिए अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं को नियुक्त करने का निर्देश दिया है। इसके साथ ही सुरंग की खोदाई और रिंग सेगमेंट की कास्टिंग यार्ड में भी काम जारी है। यहां तक कि मानसून के दौरान कार्य जारी रहे इसके लिए बालू का भंडारण भी किया जा रहा है। इसके साथ ही राधा कृष्ण मंदिर का भूमि अधिग्रहण काम भी जल्द पूरा किया जाएगा।
