मौसम विज्ञानियों के अनुसार, गर्मियों के दौरान ओला वास्तव में असामान्य नहीं है।
उन्होंने बताया कि सतह का तापमान गर्म है लेकिन ऊपरी वातावरण अभी भी ठंडा है जो बर्फ का समर्थन करता है।
जब हल्की हवाएं उठती हैं, तो अपड्राफ्ट के रूप में जानी जाने वाली मजबूत धाराएं, पानी की बूंदों को इतनी अधिक मात्रा में ले जाती हैं कि वे जम जाती हैं।
