There is no competition for Toyota vehicles in India. Vehicles like the Fortuner and the Innova are loved for their cool looks and powerful performance.

There is no SUV or car in the Indian market to compete with these vehicles, but due to the high price, buying them is not a matter of everyone. Nevertheless, there is one SUV that you can buy in a budget of Rs 12 lakh and that is Toyota’s own Urban Cruiser Hyrider, which was launched last year as an updated version of the Urban Cruiser.

The base model of Toyota Hirider costs around Rs 12 lakh. The funny thing is that only the base model of the SUV gets all the important features. The only thing it misses out on are the alloy wheels and the music system. Which can be installed from outside also at a very low cost. The segment above Rs 12 lakh is occupied by Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier. According to this, the Hyrider can be a good option, because it is getting Toyota’s branding and SUV with more space than Creta, Seltos.

What is the price of the SUV?

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyrider price starts at Rs. 12.29 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 22.54 Lakh for the top model. The Hyrider has been introduced in 4 variants E, S, G and V. The SUV is available in 3 engine options Neo Drive, Self-Charging Strong Hybrid Electric and E-CNG model. The CNG version is exclusively made available with the S and G models. Almost all the features are available in both the models. The best thing about the SUV is that it gets a mileage of 19.39 kmpl to 27.97 kmpl. This much mileage is not available in any SUV of the segment except the Maruti Grand Vitara.

SUV equipped with great features

Talking about the features found in the interior of the Urban Cruiser Hyrider, it gets a dual-tone black and brown theme with silver color inserts. For a premium feel, it gets soft-touch material on the lower part of the dashboard and on the door pads. The dashboard is highlighted by a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The higher variants of the Highrider also get new age features like automatic climate control, connected car technology and 360 degree cameras.
