Toyota Rumion CNG Becomes Popular in Indian Market amid High Demand for 7-Seater SUVs

The demand for 7-seater SUVs in the Indian market is at its peak, with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga being the most popular option. However, the customers’ interest has now shifted towards Toyota Rumion CNG MPV, which is experiencing a high demand and its sales are not showing any signs of slowing down.

Toyota Rumion’s MPV booking has recently reopened due to the huge demand, and its waiting period is still quite long. Currently, the CNG and base variants of the car are selling the most.

The MPV is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also has automatic AC, engine push button start-stop, and cruise control for comfort. Additionally, it features pedal shifters and powerful projector headlamps.

In terms of safety, the car comes with four airbags and several safety features such as Hill Hold Assist with ESP, Isofix child seat mount, rear parking sensors, and rear parking camera.

Toyota Rumion MPV is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces a power of 103ps and a peak torque of 137nm. It comes with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options for better performance. Currently, the CNG variant with a 5-speed manual gearbox is in the highest demand, providing a mileage of 26.11 km/kg of CNG.

In the Indian market, the Toyota Rumion MPV starts at a price of INR 10.44 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to INR 13.73 lakhs ex-showroom for the top variant. The car has become popular due to its impressive features, high mileage, and competitive pricing.
