Maruti Suzuki India has launched the CNG variant of its new compact SUV, the Fronx, with a starting price of Rs 8.41 lakh. The SUV is equipped with a 1.2-liter dual-jet dual-VVT petrol engine that develops 89.73PS of max power and 113Nm of peak torque in petrol mode. In CNG mode, the figures drop to 77.5PS and 98.5Nm. It has a 5-speed manual transmission and a claimed mileage of 28.51 km/kg.
The Maruti Fronx CNG 2023 is packed with features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome interior door handles, premium fabric seat belts, flat bottom steering, rear parcel tray, wireless charger, paddle shifter, cruise control, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors (ORVM’s), keyless entry, height adjustable driving seat, and power windows. It also includes automatic climate control, AC vents for the rear row, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the Delta variant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, voice assistant feature, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a 4-speaker sound system.
In terms of safety, the Maruti Fronx CNG 2023 offers features like head up display, 360 view camera, electronic stability program, hill hold assist, side and curtain airbags, dual front airbags, rear view camera, reverse parking sensors, all 3-point ELR seat belts, rear defogger, anti-theft security system, ISOFIX child seat restraint system, and inside rear view mirror.
