14 People Arrested with Fake 2000 Rupee Notes in Patna
Fourteen people were taken into custody with fake 2000 rupee notes. The arrests were made in connection with a counterfeit currency racket involving the exchange of two thousand rupee notes. Interrogations are ongoing with individuals involved in the scam.
Raid Conducted near Patliputra Station
On Thursday, a team comprising of Army Intelligence from Lucknow and Rupaspur Police conducted a raid at an apartment flat near Patliputra Station. The operation led to the uncovering of the counterfeit currency scam.
Investigation by Various Agencies
Following the raid, investigations are being carried out by the Income Tax department, Intelligence Bureau, ATS, and the Economic Offences Unit. The authorities are working together to gather more information and evidence related to the counterfeit currency racket.
