Bihar Board Matric Exam on the third day saw 41 students being expelled on charges of malpractice, with another 15 fake examinees caught from different districts. The exam for subjects like Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, and Bhojpuri was conducted under tight security at 57 centers in Bhagalpur district on Saturday. However, at Suraj Devi Mishra Lal Women’s College, seven examinees missed their exam in the second shift, leading to protests by students and their families. Meanwhile, eight fake female examinees were caught at a center in Kabirpur, Bhagalpur.
In a similar incident, eight fake female examinees were caught at Boldwin Child School Center in Kabirpur, Bhagalpur, while attempting to take the exam on behalf of someone else. The center superintendent has lodged a complaint at Lalmatiya Police Station. It was suspected that discrepancies arose when matching the admit cards of seven examinees in the first shift and one in the second shift. A total of 48,200 examinees were present out of 49,282 in both shifts, with 1082 students being absent.
Seven students were unable to take the exam at Suraj Devi Mishra Lal Women’s College due to arriving late at the exam center. Despite pleading with officials and police officers, they were not allowed to enter the center due to their delayed arrival. The students claimed that they were late due to traffic congestion. However, police officers managed to calm the situation and prevent any further disturbances. Reports suggest that more than a dozen students from various districts may have missed the exam.
On the third day of the Matric Exam, 41 students were expelled on charges of malpractice, while 15 fake students were caught attempting to take the exam on behalf of others. Six fake students were caught in Jahanabad, five in Lakhisarai, two in Darbhanga, and one each in Arwal and Madhepura. The exam for various language subjects was conducted at all centers on both shifts on Saturday. The exam for the second Indian language subject for Hindi-speaking students included Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, and Bhojpuri in the first and second shifts. The exam timings were from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm for the first shift and from 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm for the second shift, with the exams being conducted smoothly at 70 centers in Patna district.
