All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen’s Support for Hina Shahab
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) announced their full support for Hina Shahab, the wife of former MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, if she chooses to contest the Lok Sabha elections as an independent or from any other party. This announcement was made by AIMIM’s lone MLA in Bihar and state unit chief Akhtarul Imaan. Hina Shahab had previously contested Lok Sabha elections from Siwan as a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate.
Akhtarul Imaan’s Statement
Akhtarul Imaan expressed his full sympathy towards Hina Shahab, stating that if she decides to contest elections from an independent or like-minded party, AIMIM will extend their complete support to her, including assistance in her campaign. He also mentioned that AIMIM will be contesting on 15 seats in Bihar, expanding from their initial plan of 11 seats. Imaan confirmed that AIMIM will once again field a candidate from the Muslim-majority seat of Kishanganj.
Future Plans and Political Landscape
Hina Shahab, who has previously faced defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in 2009, 2014, and 2019, has now declared her intention to contest as an independent candidate. With AIMIM’s backing, her prospects in the upcoming elections seem promising. As AIMIM gears up to contest on multiple seats in Bihar, the political scenario in the state is set to witness an interesting turn with the entry of new players like Hina Shahab.
पटना में एआईएमआईएम ने घोषणा की है कि वे पूर्व सांसद मोहम्मद शहाबुद्दीन की पत्नी हिना शहाब के समर्थन में खड़ी हैं और अगर वह निर्दलीय या किसी अन्य समान विचाराधारा वाले दल के उम्मीदवार के तौर पर लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ती हैं तो उनका समर्थन करेगी। बिहार में एआईएमआईएम के एकमात्र विधायक और प्रदेश इकाई के प्रमुख अख्तरुल ईमान ने यह घोषणा की है। उन्होंने कहा कि वे हिना शहाब के साथ पूरी सहानुभूति रखते हैं और उनका समर्थन करेंगे। इसके साथ ही ओवैसी की पार्टी बिहार की 15 सीटों पर चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला किया है। ईमान ने बताया कि वे कुछ अन्य सीटों पर भी चुनाव लड़ सकते हैं। हिना शहाब ने पिछले चुनावों में लड़ने का ऐलान किया है और उन्होंने कहा कि वह या तो खुद लड़ेंगी या उनका बेटा।
