The Ancient Temple of Ma Aranya Devi in Ara, Bhojpur District

The ancient temple of Ma Aranya Devi is located on the eastern-northern side in the main city of Ara, Bhojpur district. The city of Ara got its name from this temple. The history of the temple is connected to the Ramayana era and the Pandavas. Inside the temple, there is a large statue of Goddess Saraswati made of black stone and a small idol of Goddess Mahalakshmi. The temple is also known as the Devi of the fort.
