Incident of Self-immolation in Munge
A 22-year-old youth named Ram Anand Kumar, a resident of Banglavva in Dharhara Thana, set himself on fire after getting angry for being delayed in giving Rs. 100 to his mother, Kanchan Devi. He locked himself in a room and set the mattress on fire. However, his mother managed to break the door and extinguish the fire on his body in time. Both the youth and his mother were injured in the incident and he has been admitted to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Reason behind the Incident
Kanchan Devi, who is a social worker, mentioned that construction work was going on at their home and she had given money to Ram Anand Kumar to bring sand. When he returned with the sand, he asked for Rs. 100 from his mother. She told him to work with the laborers first and then she would give him the money. This led to an argument, and in anger, he locked himself in a room and set himself on fire.
Current Status and Treatment
After the incident, the smell of burning alerted the laborers who helped in breaking the door and extinguishing the fire. Ram Anand Kumar has suffered more than 30% burns and is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital. The doctors are providing necessary medical care for his recovery. The family is in shock over the incident and is hoping for his speedy recovery.
मुंगेर में धरहरा थाना के बंगलवा निवासी नरेश ठाकुर के पुत्र रामानंद कुमार ने मां से 100 रुपया मांगने पर आक्रोशित होकर खुद को आग लगा ली. मां कंचन देवी ने उसे बचाने के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया है. रामानंद को इलाज के लिए 30 प्रतिशत से अधिक झुलस चुका है, जिसका उपचार किया जा रहा है.
