Bhagalpur Police Seize a Cache of Weapons
In Bihar’s Bhagalpur, a continuous seizure of weapons is taking place. In a case of weapon smuggling, the Bhagalpur police have achieved three major successes within a week. In the Madhusudanpur police station area, a raid was conducted and a large quantity of weapons was seized from a house. The seized weapons also include those manufactured in a Karnataka ordinance factory. Prior to this, the police had also seized a large quantity of weapons from a house in the Parbatti Mohalla area of Tatarpur police station.
Three Major Successes Within a Week
In a case of weapon smuggling, the Bhagalpur police achieved a third major success within a week. While foiling a major criminal plan, the police arrested three criminals involved in weapon smuggling. The criminal history of the arrested suspects is being investigated. The seized weapons include those manufactured in a Karnataka ordinance factory. The information about this success was shared by the SSP on Friday.
Conspiracy to Carry out a Major Incident
SSP Anand Kumar revealed that they received confidential information about active weapon smugglers in the Madhusudanpur police station area who were planning a major crime. A special team was formed under the supervision of City SP Raj and ASP Probation Abhinav, led by City DSP Ajay Kumar Choudhary. The team conducted a raid at the house of Raja Babu in Ramapur Khurd Mohalla, where a significant number of weapons and cartridges were seized. Subsequently, a large quantity of weapons and cartridges were also seized from the residences of Nikhit Ranjan in Purani Sarai and Manikant Choudhary in Kasaiya village.
10 Smugglers Arrested, Dozens of Weapons Seized
The seized items include a double-barrel gun, a rifle, a 315 rifle, three country-made pistols, two 9mm pistols, an air gun without a license, 172 cartridges, three cartridges, three mobile phones, seven iron rods, and more. Prior to this, the police had already achieved a major success in the locations of Mo Salahuddin in Parbatti and Rekabganj. So far, 10 weapon smugglers have been arrested, and 23 weapons and 362 cartridges have been seized from them.
