Arun Bharti to contest from Chirag Paswan’s safe seat
Chirag Paswan’s sister, Arun Bharti, will be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from the Jamui constituency, which is considered a safe seat for the LJP candidate. Arun Bharti has a strong political background, with her mother, Dr. Jyoti, having served as a minister in the Bihar government and her father, Ram Yash Ram, being a commercial observer in Bokaro Steel City. Arun Bharti herself has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in England.
Education and Career Journey
After completing her education, Arun Bharti worked as a banker for a multinational company, Standard Chartered Bank, in Delhi. She later returned to Bihar and set up call centers in Patna and Kolkata to provide employment opportunities to youth. She also started several projects to provide direct and indirect employment to around 200 youths and initiated a dealership for Tata Motors. Arun Bharti’s focus has always been on promoting entrepreneurship and providing employment opportunities to the youth in Bihar.
Standing Strong with Chirag
Arun Bharti has been actively involved in politics, inspired by her mother’s political career as a legislator and councilor. She has been a strong supporter of Chirag Paswan and actively participated in the party’s political events and rallies. During the party’s internal crisis in July 2021, Arun Bharti stood by Chirag Paswan’s side and joined him in the Jan Ashirwad Yatra. Despite the party’s split, Arun Bharti continues to support Chirag Paswan and remains committed to bringing about social change through political activism.
