From Struggle to Success

A young man from Banka, Chandan Kumar, proved the saying “if you have talent, you don’t need anyone’s support” to be true. He used to struggle to make ends meet by doing labor work, but now he has become a millionaire by earning lakhs through farming, specifically growing bitter gourd.

Farming Journey

Chandan Kumar, who used to work as a laborer in Bengaluru, returned to his village in Katara and decided to start vegetable farming. Despite not having much land, he leased two acres of land from the villagers to start growing vegetables. Over the past six years, he has been consistently growing and selling vegetables, with his latest crop being bitter gourd which is in high demand.

Successful Bitter Gourd Farming

Chandan Kumar shared his farming technique for bitter gourd, where he prepares beds with organic fertilizer and sows seeds at specific intervals. Within 120 days, the bitter gourd starts yielding, and he is able to harvest and sell significant quantities every other day. With a profit potential of up to two thousand rupees per plant, bitter gourd farming has proven to be a lucrative venture for him, earning him up to five lakh rupees in a single season.

बांका जिले के कटहरा गांव के रहने वाले चंदन कुमार महतो की कहानी है जो मजदूरी करके अपने परिवार का पेट भरने के लिए जूझ रहे थे। लेकिन उन्होंने करेले की खेती से अब लाखों रुपए कमाने का सफर तय किया। उन्होंने दो एकड़ जमीन में करेले की खेती करने का फैसला किया और अब उनकी कमाई तगड़ी है। उन्होंने सब्जी की खेती में सफलता प्राप्त करके दिखाया कि मेहनत और हुनर से किसी के मोहजात होने की जरूरत नहीं है।
