Beautiful Naulakha Temple in Bihar

The Naulakha Temple in Bihar’s Buxar district is known for its stunning architecture that showcases the best of South Indian temple art. The intricate carvings in the temple are a fine example of South Indian style and the worship rituals here are also in the South Indian tradition. The temple’s consecration was performed by 108 priests from North India and 108 priests from South India, chanting Vedic mantras together.

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu

The Naulakha Temple in Buxar is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is also known as a divine abode. Visitors can see images of various incarnations of Lord Vishnu and scenes from the Ramayana depicted on the temple walls. Devotees flock to the temple to witness the birth of Lord Krishna, the slaying of Kaliya, and other significant events from Hindu mythology. The temple, built in 1974, has become a major attraction in the Buxar district.

Significance of the Temple

The construction of the Naulakha Temple was inspired by Swami Maharaj, and the temple follows the traditional South Indian architectural style. Thousands of devotees gather here to participate in special worship ceremonies conducted by priests from South India. The temple’s significance lies in its connection to Vedic traditions and the pilgrimage of devotees from far and wide to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
