Major Scandal During Floor Test
During the floor test in Patna, a major scandal involving the purchase of MLAs has come to light. The Economic Offences Unit will now investigate the scandal related to the purchase of MLAs during the floor test. The Patna SSP has written a letter to the Police Headquarters requesting an investigation by the Economic Offences Unit.
Investigation Underway
The Economic Offences Unit has initiated an investigation into the scandal. A DSP-level officer has been appointed as the IO for the case. Allegations of MLAs being purchased came to light during the confidence vote of Bihar’s new government on February 12. JDU MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar had filed a case at the Kotwali police station regarding this matter.
Accusations and Disappearances
One JD(U) MLA and others were accused in the application filed at the Kotwali police station, alleging a deal worth 10 crores. The initial investigation was conducted by the Patna police, after which SSP Rajiv Mishra wrote a letter to the Police Headquarters requesting an investigation by the Economic Offences Unit. During the incident, JDU MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar had filed a case at the Kotwali police station regarding a deal worth 10 crores.
