Five laborers from Bihar who spent 17 days in the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand arrived at Patna Airport on Friday morning. They were given a grand welcome here. These laborers include Deepak Kumar from Muzaffarpur, Sonu Kumar from Chapra, Beirendra Kumar from Banka, Sabah from Ara, and Sushil Kumar from Rohtas. Bihar’s Minister of Labor Resources, Surendra Ram, also participated in their welcome ceremony. On this occasion, the relatives of all the laborers stood for hours at the airport to welcome them. As soon as they arrived in Patna, the laborers were greeted with flower bouquets.

Relatives appeal to provide employment in Bihar

Hundreds of people gathered at Patna Airport to witness this scene. Along with the laborers, the faces of their families were filled with waves of happiness. During the media interaction, the laborers said that if the government provides employment in Bihar, they would not have to go out to work. The relatives of the laborers appealed to the government to provide employment in Bihar itself. They said that now they have taken a breath of relief after seeing them. They will not allow them to go out again. They expressed their happiness at safely arriving in Bihar.

Government’s efforts to eliminate unemployment among laborers

Minister of Labor Resources, Surendra Ram, welcomed all the laborers of Bihar and said that this is a happy moment for Bihar. He said that the Bihar government has been continuously looking at the situation of these laborers. He said that the government is providing employment for the laborers in Bihar itself. Now these laborers do not need to go outside. The Minister of Labor Resources said that the government is making every possible effort to eliminate unemployment among laborers in Bihar.

Laborers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel for 17 days

It should be noted that after rescuing the laborers trapped inside the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarakhand for 17 days, the government and officials took a sigh of relief. Five of those laborers were from Bihar. After the relentless efforts of the Central and State governments’ agencies and the laborers, the trapped people in the tunnel were safely rescued. On Friday, all the laborers from Bihar were safely flown to Patna by a chartered plane. The government will ensure that all these laborers reach their homes from Patna.



उत्तराखंड के सिलक्यारा टनल में 17 दिनों तक फंसे रहने वाले बिहार के पांच मजदूरों का पटना एयरपोर्ट पर भव्य स्वागत किया गया। उनके स्वागत समारोह में बिहार सरकार के श्रम संसाधन मंत्री सुरेंद्र राम ने भी हिस्सा लिया। मजदूरों ने बताया कि अगर सरकार उन्हें बिहार में ही रोजगार देती है तो उन्हें बाहर काम करने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी। श्रम संसाधन मंत्री ने बताया कि सरकार बिहार के मजदूरों के बेरोजगारी को दूर करने के लिए प्रयास कर रही है। यह घटना बिहार के लिए खुशी की बात है।
