Young Archer Making Waves in Gaya, Bihar
Several children in Gaya, Bihar are making a name for themselves in archery. These archers have showcased their talent at the national level and have also brought home medals for Bihar. Today, we are going to tell the story of one such archer from Gaya, Adarsh Kumar, who has surpassed even older archers at the age of 12. He has even competed in the Under-19 competition. Adarsh has been practicing archery since the age of 8 and has earned several medals in the sport for himself and for his state.
Achievements and Records
Last year in December, Adarsh Kumar won a gold and a silver medal in the Under-14 archery competition at the 67th National School Games in Nadia, Gujarat. He scored 349 out of 360 points in the Indian round 30-meter event, surpassing nearly 100 archers from different states to claim the gold medal.
Passion and Determination
Adarsh Kumar has shown remarkable accuracy in archery since a young age. Despite coming from a humble background, he has made a name for himself at the national level. His mother teaches in a school, which helps cover his expenses. He travels 6 km daily to receive coaching and support from his coach and others. Adarsh has won gold medals in the Under-14 and Under-9 national events, and has also competed in the Under-19 national competition. His coach, Jayprakash Kumar, shares that Adarsh’s passion for archery is so strong that he comes alone to learn the sport from us every day, despite the lack of resources.
गया के तीरंदाजी में प्रतिभाशाली बच्चे अपनी अलग पहचान बना रहे हैं। इन तीरंदाजों ने राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया है और बिहार के लिए मेडल भी जीते हैं। इसके बीच, 12 साल के आदर्श कुमार ने अपनी उम्र के बड़े खिलाड़ियों को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया है। उन्होंने तीरंदाजी में कई मेडल जीते हैं, जिनसे उनकी और बिहार की गरिमा बढ़ी है। आदर्श को राष्ट्रीय स्तर में चूकने का दर्जा भी हासिल है। इनका खर्च उनकी माता को स्कूल से निकलता है और उन्हें रोजाना 6 किलोमीटर दूर के स्थान पर तीरंदाजी सीखने के लिए जाना पड़ता है।
