BJP Faces Tough Competition in Jharkhand

In the last three Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand, despite BJP’s dominance, the party may face tough competition this time due to internal conflicts, ticket distribution issues, worker dissatisfaction, and tribal opposition in some areas. The state will have voting in four phases for the 14 Lok Sabha seats starting from May 13. In the previous elections, BJP had won 11 out of 14 seats in Jharkhand.

Seat Distribution and Dissatisfaction

BJP is contesting on 13 seats in alliance with AJSU Party, while AJSU will contest from Giridih Lok Sabha seat. There is discontent among party workers as some old leaders were denied tickets in favor of new candidates. This has led to dissatisfaction among workers and upper-caste voters in some areas, creating challenges for the party.

Challenges and Changes in Candidates

BJP has replaced Sunil Soren with Sita Soren in the Dumka seat, causing unrest among loyal workers. The party is facing challenges in Hazaribagh as well, with the nomination of Manish Jaiswal over Jayant Sinha. The switch in candidates has caused dissatisfaction among Sinha’s supporters.

Competition and Expectations

BJP is facing tough competition in Lohardaga and Singhbhum seats, with the nomination of new candidates against incumbents. The party is confident of winning all 14 seats in Jharkhand, despite the challenges posed by the changing political landscape and candidate selections. The upcoming elections will determine the fate of BJP in the state.
