Loksabha Election 2024 Candidates Finalized in Delhi

In a meeting held in Delhi, BJP leaders from Jharkhand, including state president Babulal Marandi, MLA Amar Kumar Bauri, and regional organization secretary Nagendra, finalized the candidates for the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. The meeting was held with the first election in-charge Laxmikant Vajpayee.

Candidates Shortlisted for Jharkhand Seats

After the meeting with national organization secretary B.L. Santosh, it was decided to shortlist three candidates for each seat, with Congress MP Geeta Koda being named for the Singhbhum seat. BJP is expected to announce candidates for some seats in Jharkhand in the coming days.

Half a Dozen MPs May Lose Ticket in Jharkhand

Reports suggest that about half a dozen BJP MPs in Jharkhand may lose their tickets. BJP will give one seat to its alliance partner AJSU in the state, while the party will contest on the remaining 13 seats. Survey reports will determine the candidates for the remaining seats.

Jayant Jaypal Singh to Contest Elections from Khunti

Jayant Jaypal Singh Mund, son of Marang Gomke Jaypal Singh Mund, will contest the elections from the Khunti Lok Sabha seat, as announced in a press conference on Wednesday. Party’s central vice-president Ajay Topno stated that Jayant was chosen as the candidate based on public demand, qualifications, political ideology, party loyalty, and work in the region.
