Important Day for Bihar Politics
The budget session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will run from 12th February to 1st March. However, 12th February holds significant importance for the politics of Bihar as the government needs to prove its majority in the Assembly on this day. Besides, a decision regarding the post of the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will also be made on that day.
Government’s Floor Test
The Assembly has released the schedule for Monday, 12th February, for the government’s floor test. According to the schedule issued by the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the proceedings will begin at 11 am, with an introductory speech by the Speaker of the Assembly. At 11:30 am, the Governor will address the Joint Session in the Central Hall of the expanded Assembly building, addressing the members of the Assembly and the Legislative Council.
Exam for Nitish Kumar’s Government
After the Governor’s address, the proceedings of the Assembly will resume in the old building, where the proposal regarding the removal of the Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly will be considered. After the decision on the Speaker, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will present a vote of confidence in the Assembly for his government. The Economic Survey report will also be presented in the Bihar Legislative Assembly on 12th February.
पटना, बिहार विधानसभा का बजट सत्र 12 फरवरी से 1 मार्च तक चलेगा। इस दौरान सरकार को सदन के अंदर बहुमत साबित करना होगा और विधानसभा के अध्यक्ष पद का भी निर्णय होगा। विधानसभा ने कार्य सूची जारी की है और उसके अनुसार सबसे पहले अध्यक्ष द्वारा प्रारंभिक संबोधन और राज्यपाल का अभिभाषण होगा। इसके बाद विधानसभा में विधायकों पर विश्वास मत का प्रस्ताव रखा जाएगा। इससे नीतीश कुमार की सरकार के लिए चुनौती होगी। विश्वास मत को लेकर सभी दलों ने अपने-अपने विधायकों पर चौकसी बढ़ाई है।
