Tragic Accident: Bus overturns in Bihar, two dead and 18 injured
In a tragic accident in Katihar, Bihar, a bus carrying passengers overturned into a ditch on Monday. Two female passengers lost their lives in the incident, while around 18 people were injured. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem to the Sadar Hospital. The police have also initiated an investigation into the matter.
Accident Details: Kurseela Thana area affected
According to sources, the accident took place in the Kurseela Thana area of the district. The bus, filled with passengers, overturned on National Highway 31 near Kosi Pul Kabir Math. With the help of local villagers and the police, the injured were admitted to Kurseela and Sameli Community Health Centers. The condition of three to four passengers is said to be critical. The deceased have been identified as Sandhya Rakesh from New Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, and Jitni Topo from Darjeeling.
Police Action: Bodies sent for post-mortem, investigation underway
Katihar Sadar SDPO, Shivshankar Kumar, informed that the police have sent the bodies for post-mortem to the Sadar Hospital and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
बिहार के कटिहार में एक यात्रियों से भरी बस अनियंत्रित होकर गड्ढे में पलट गई। इस हादसे में दो महिला यात्रियों की मौत हो गई और 18 लोग घायल हो गए। पुलिस ने दोनों शवों को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए सदर अस्पताल भेज दिया है और मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है। यह दुर्घटना कटिहार जिले के कुर्सेला थाना क्षेत्र में हुई है। घायलों को कुर्सेला और समेली सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र में भर्ती कराया गया है। मृतकों में पश्चिम बंगाल के न्यू जलपाईगुड़ी और दार्जिलिंग की रहने वाली यात्रियां शामिल हैं। पुलिस ने मामले की जांच की शुरुआत की है।
