Desperate Couple Takes Shelter Under a Tree in Arwal District

In the Madhushrava Mathiya village of Mehendiya police station area in Arwal district, a couple in love has been forced to seek shelter under a tree. Along with the couple, their parents are also compelled to spend their lives under the tree during the cold weather. The girl’s relatives have been physically assaulting them, leading the couple to face difficulties and seek help from the police and society. Despite seeking justice at the Mehendiya police station, no action has been taken by the police. Instead of providing security, the police have detained them at the station all day and sent them back home in the evening, resulting in fear and forcing them to stay under the tree.

Lovebirds Resort to Extreme Measures Amidst Opposition

Manoj Kumar, the boyfriend, revealed that he fell in love with his beloved, Gudiya Kumari, and made a commitment to live and die together. Both lovers considered fire as their witness and married each other in front of God. After the wedding, they stayed at their relatives’ house for a few days. However, when they went to the girl’s ancestral village, her relatives prevented their entry and physically assaulted them.

Allegations of Domestic Violence and Forced Eviction

Gudiya Kumari, the girlfriend, stated that they have an immense love for each other. They decided to have a dowry-free marriage and legally registered their marriage in court. But now, their relatives refuse to let them stay at their home. Gudiya alleges that she is being physically abused by her mother-in-law and father-in-law. They are forcing them to leave the village, despite it being their ancestral place, Madhushrava. The couple is left wondering where they can go as they are too scared to return to the village and are left stranded under the tree during the cold weather. The police administration and society are not providing any support or assistance to them.
