The incident took place in Laloo Nagar Mohalla in the Ramapur police station area late on Saturday night.

According to information received, Sanjeev Chaube was living in a rented house in Laloo Nagar Mohalla in the Ramapur police station area. Late at night, he was standing outside his house when criminals started firing at him. He was injured in the firing and was found lying on the road in critical condition. The police arrived at the scene after hearing the gunfire incident and began investigating the matter.
**Allegations Against Retired Police Officer’s Son:**
However, in this case, the son of a retired police officer, Ashok Kumar, claimed that the injured man was Yogendra Chaube, a 40-year-old resident of Basanv village in the Simraul police station area of Buxar district in Bihar. He lived in a rented house with his wife and two children. He worked in Gaya making AR machines. On Saturday night, they heard firecrackers and went outside to find that their tenant, Sanjeev Kumar, was lying on the ground. It was later revealed that criminals had shot Sanjeev, causing his injuries. His wife and uncle took him to the hospital for treatment, and he was later referred to Patna. The Ramapur police station chief, Ravi Kumar, stated that on Saturday evening, criminals shot Sanjeev Kumar in Laloo Nagar. The investigation has identified the criminal involved, and the son of a retired police officer has been accused of the shooting. Raids are being conducted at various locations for the arrest of the suspect, who will soon be in police custody.
