Crime News in Patna: Shocking Incident on Holi
In Deedarganj, Patna city, a group of village boys were demanding money from every house for Holika Dahan. Suddenly, a youth came out of a house with a knife and stabbed a 16-year-old boy who was also demanding money. The youth fled after the incident, leaving the injured boy and other boys present at the scene to run away.
Child Dies in Hospital after the Incident
Following the incident, the injured teenager was admitted to the hospital for treatment. However, the child succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning. The Deedarganj police station in-charge mentioned that they received information about a group of boys gathering materials for Holika Dahan and demanding money at knifepoint. The deceased child was identified as Ritesh Kumar (16) from Khaspur. The police are examining CCTV footage around the incident site. No written complaint has been received from Ritesh Kumar’s family yet, which is necessary for further action by the police.
