Jharkhand Weather Today
The heatwave in Jharkhand has turned fatal, with a 45-year-old woman in Jamshedpur succumbing to the extreme heat. The body of the woman was found on a bench at the Dhalbhumgarh railway station and has not been identified yet. On Sunday, 12 districts in the state recorded temperatures above 41 degrees, with Bokaro registering the highest at 46 degrees and Jamshedpur at 44.2 degrees. The weather department predicts a change in weather on Monday and Tuesday with chances of rain.
Rain Expected in Ranchi
In the capital city of Ranchi, the weather is expected to change in the afternoon on Monday with the possibility of rain. Clouds are expected to cover the sky after noon with the chance of rain in southern parts of the state, including Ranchi and surrounding areas. Temperatures are expected to drop by two to three degrees with a maximum temperature of 37 degrees. Light rain is also expected in some areas on Tuesday.
Recent Temperatures and Forecast
On Sunday, the temperature in Ranchi reached 39.4 degrees while Medininagar recorded 42.4 degrees. The entire state is experiencing temperatures four degrees higher than normal. The heatwave in Jharkhand has become life-threatening, especially in Kolhan. Relief is expected with changes in weather in the next 24 hours with a slight chance of rain in southern parts of the state. Temperatures are predicted to drop by two to three degrees in the next two days.
Maximum Temperatures in Districts
According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, there will be a change in weather over the next 24 hours in Jharkhand. Southern parts of the state, including Ranchi, could experience light rain with thunderstorms. Cloudy skies are expected on Monday and Tuesday with a chance of light rain. However, temperatures are expected to rise again once the weather clears.
