In Nalanda, Bihar, a laborer died on Monday morning under suspicious circumstances. The incident took place in the Chabilapur police station area, where a cricket stadium is under construction. The deceased has been identified as Duryodhan Kumar Mandal (28), a resident of Deeh Topar in the Amadabad police station area of Katihar district.
According to the brother of the deceased, Mithun Kumar Mandal, his brother went to sleep in the labor colony after having dinner on Sunday evening. Suddenly, he experienced a strong hiccup in the morning, which woke up the other sleeping people nearby. When attempts were made to wake up Duryodhan, he did not respond in any way. After that, he was taken to the Rajgir Sub-Divisional Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After confirming the death, his colleagues reached the stadium campus with the body and started creating chaos demanding compensation.
Mithun, the brother of Duryodhan Mandal, said that his brother has small children. He is requesting the company to provide some compensation so that his brother’s children can be taken care of. Meanwhile, after receiving information about the incident, the police also reached the scene and started investigating the case.
The Chabilapur police station in-charge stated that the relatives of the deceased are demanding compensation from the management. Currently, the situation is calm. Further action will be taken once the application is received. Efforts are being made to take control of the body.
