Devotee Drowns While Bathing at Sameshwar Mountain
A devotee returning from seeing the mother at the Sameshwar mountain in Ramnagar block of West Champaran district in Bihar suddenly felt like bathing. However, he drowned during the bath and died. This incident caused a commotion at the scene.
Incident Details
The youth was returning after seeing the mother at Sameshwar Mountain. Suddenly, he felt like bathing and started bathing. During this time, the youth slipped and fell into deep water. People tried to save him, but he went further into the deep water, leading to his death. The incident took place on Monday evening. The deceased youth has been identified as Deepu Kumar (25) from Bettiah Chavni.
Accidental Death
According to information, the youth was returning after seeing Mother Kali at the Sameshwar Mountain on Monday evening. He started bathing in a lake located near Parewadah. However, his foot slipped while bathing, and he fell. When he fell, his head hit a stone, causing his death on the spot. With the help of other travelers, he was pulled out of the water.
Police Response
The body is being sent to the hospital for postmortem after being taken into custody. The incident has been confirmed by Gajanand Soni, a member of the Sameshwar Seva Samiti. As soon as the information was received, the SSB arrived at the scene and took the body into custody. SSB personnel on duty informed the Govardhana police, who then arrived at the scene.
