Director of Adarsh Girls School in Patna kidnapped and robbed by criminals
The director of Adarsh Girls School, Manoj Kumar, was kidnapped and robbed by criminals at his residence in Khemnichak, Golki Moda, under Ramkrishnanagar police station in Patna. The incident took place in the evening when Manoj Kumar’s wife had gone to the market and their son Naitik was away for work. During this time, five armed criminals entered their house, tied Manoj Kumar with a rope, looted cash and jewelry from the safe, and started searching the house. Naitik, the son of the school director, returned and started shouting, which gathered people. The first thing they did was turn off the main switch, causing darkness and scaring the criminals away. Three of the criminals managed to escape by breaking the gate, but two were caught by the people and severely beaten.
Another brutal robbery at the house of a prominent doctor in Bhagalpur
A heinous robbery took place at the house of a well-known doctor in Bhagalpur, where the criminals kidnapped and looted the house at midnight. When the residents protested, the criminals tried to escape, resulting in an attack on the police, injuring the ASI. As soon as the information of the incident reached Ramkrishnanagar police station, the police reached the spot. Despite their attempt to remove the two criminals from the mob, the crowd attacked the police and caused damage to the police vehicles. The police from nearby police stations, including Kankadbagh and Patrakar Nagar, arrived at the scene and dispersed the crowd. The ASP, Sweety Shahrawat, stated that the attackers will be identified and action will be taken against them.
Weapons and stolen items found at the crime scene
At the crime scene, two knives, one sickle, and three cartridges were recovered. People also mentioned that three cartridges were found in one of the criminal’s packet. The criminals also stole a gold chain, which they threw away while fleeing. The incident took place in a building where the Bank of India’s office is located on the ground floor. People stated that such incidents have instilled fear among them and the police patrolling system is inadequate.
Concerns over security and police patrolling
People expressed their concerns over the lack of security and police patrolling in the area. They mentioned that police vehicles are stationed at one place and leave after a certain time. It should be noted that the same building houses the Adarsh Girls School and the Bank of India branch on the first floor. People stated that the criminals were on foot during the incident.
