विश्व कैंसर दिवस के मौके पर बेगूसराय के डॉक्टर डॉ. रमण कुमार झा ने बताया कि भारत में हर 50 सेकेंड में एक कैंसर रोगी बन रहा है। यह रोग आजकल युवा उम्र के लोगों को भी प्रभावित कर रहा है और उनमें यह ज्यादातर विकसित अवस्था में पाया जा रहा है। विश्व का 21 प्रतिशत कैंसर मरीज सिर्फ भारत में है। विश्व कैंसर दिवस की शुरुआत 2005 से हुई थी।
