Conflict between College and DM impacting Intermediate students in Bihar

A clash between a college and the District Magistrate in Bihar has resulted in a situation where the reevaluation of Intermediate answer sheets cannot take place. The DM has prevented the college staff from entering the college premises, leading to a delay in the reevaluation process after the Bihar School Examination Board received directions for reevaluation.

Election implications on Reevaluation process

Following the completion of Lok Sabha elections in the region, the EVMs of all six assembly constituencies have been stored in the college premises. However, due to restrictions on entry into the college, the reevaluation process of students’ answer sheets has been hindered. The college authorities have reached out to the District Magistrate for clarification but have not received permission to proceed.

Efforts to resolve the situation for reevaluation

In light of the conflict, the Director of the evaluation center at the college has written to the Bihar School Examination Board Director seeking guidance on how to proceed with the reevaluation process. Despite efforts to address the issue with the District Magistrate and Election Officials, entry into the college premises for reevaluation remains restricted, raising concerns about the timely completion of the process.
