ED Raids 9 Locations

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at a total of 9 locations in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. These raids were conducted after receiving inputs from Mohammad Saddam. The ED team also visited the residence of Antu Tirkey, the former district president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

Raids Conducted at 9 Locations

The ED team raided the premises of land businessmen Bipin Singh, Priyaranjan Sahay, Shekhar Kushwaha, and others. This action was taken by the central investigation agency in cases of making fake documents and selling land in Bariatu. The raids were conducted based on inputs provided by Mohammad Saddam, who was involved in creating fake documents related to land owned by former CM Hemant Soren.

Inputs from Saddam

A few days ago, Mohammad Saddam was arrested by the ED. Prior to this, the former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Bhanu Pratap were also arrested in this case. So far, three people have been arrested by the central investigation agency. The ED has alleged that Saddam created fake documents for Hemant Soren. Following the arrest, a significant action was taken by the ED based on inputs received from Saddam.

Hemant Soren’s Bail Hearing

On Tuesday, a special court of the ED heard the bail plea of Hemant Soren. During the hearing, the ED requested a week’s time to submit a response. The court granted permission for this, and the next hearing in this case is scheduled for April 23. Hemant Soren, the former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, has been in jail for the past 75 days. On Monday, he filed a bail plea.
