Anger expressed by the Education Department’s top bureaucrat

The Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak, has expressed his displeasure towards the inspection officials. This comes after a lax attitude was observed in entering the daily inspection reports of the Mission Daksh conducted in schools during the summer vacation on the e-education portal by the relevant blocks. It was found in a state-level departmental review that while a total of 7502 schools were inspected by various officials and inspectors by April 22, only 5261 inspection reports were entered on the e-education portal by the same date.

Immediate action ordered by the Department

As per departmental orders, the daily inspection reports of schools are to be entered on the e-education portal by the blocks on the same day they are conducted. Any delay in entering the reports on the portal has led to strong dissatisfaction expressed by the Additional Chief Secretary KK Pathak during the departmental review. All BEOs and data entry operators have been directed by DEO Pramod Kumar Sahu to ensure the entry of backlog inspection reports without any delay, and to ensure compliance with the orders by DPMU and all BPMUs.

No leniency in school inspections

It has been made clear by the DEO that no leniency will be tolerated in inspections conducted as per the model roster. All BEOs have been instructed to ensure the entry of inspection reports on the e-education portal. Currently, summer vacations are ongoing in government schools in all districts of Bihar including Sitamarhi. Teachers have been instructed to conduct Daksh classes in schools during this period, with daily inspections to be carried out and reports submitted to the department. Additionally, daily inspection registry uploads are also required on the e-education portal.
