Income Tax Raid on RJD Candidate Abhay Kushwaha’s Office

A flying squad and surveillance team related to elections raided the election office of RJD candidate Abhay Kushwaha in Aurangabad, Bihar. The team conducted a search operation for nearly 5 hours with the help of local police at Madhuram Hotel in the Farh Thana area. However, only cash amounting to Rs. 50,000 and some promotional materials were seized from the location.

Protest Against the Raid

As soon as RJD workers got wind of the raid, they became agitated and started protesting against it outside the office. They criticized the action as a cowardly move and claimed it was an attempt to demoralize party workers and create fear among voters. The protesters expressed their determination to not be swayed by such tactics and warned that the opposition would have to pay the price for their actions.

Response from Election Commission and Official

The Additional SP, Sanjay Kumar Pandey, who is assisting the raid team, stated that the flying squad conducted the operation based on information received. He mentioned that the team is preparing a list of seized items for further action. During elections, the Election Commission forms flying squads to monitor and control any illegal activities, ensuring a fair election process. Abhay Kushwaha, the candidate in question, has not yet responded to the incident.
