Shocking Case in Darbhanga, Bihar
A surprising case has come to light in Darbhanga district of Bihar, where a young man was posing as a police officer and fooling both the public and the administration. The fake police officer was arrested by the real Traffic Officer, Kumar Gaurav, in Mirjapur, Darbhanga, when he was caught engaging in illegal activities with drivers. Gaurav disguised himself and apprehended the imposter, seizing cash and an ID card worth over seven thousand rupees from him.
Imposter Identified as Fake Sub-Inspector
The imposter was identified as Ashok Kumar Sah, who hails from Jagdishpur village in the Manigachhi police station area of Darbhanga. Sah had attempted the Sub-Inspector examination thrice but was unsuccessful. Unsatisfied with just wearing the uniform, he not only posed as a fake officer but also extorted money from violators by pretending to be a Traffic Police Sub-Inspector.
Immediate Action Taken by Authorities
After receiving a tip-off, Traffic Officer Kumar Gaurav conducted a thorough investigation and apprehended the fake officer. Sah admitted to taking the Sub-Inspector exams multiple times, which allowed him to deceive the public. Further investigations are ongoing, including examining Sah’s mobile phone and any documents found in his possession. This incident has raised concerns about the impersonation of police officers and the need for stricter verification processes.
