In Ara, Bihar, a father-son duo was shot by armed Patidars with the intention of property snatching. The son, who was injured in the shooting, died on the way to the hospital for treatment. The father, who was severely injured, has been admitted to a private hospital in Ara city for treatment in critical condition. The incident took place in Pehrap village in Sahar Thana area on Monday evening.

**Identification of the deceased**

The deceased has been identified as Aditya Kumar (20), son of Kamlesh Rai, a resident of Pehrap village. Kamlesh Rai, the father of the deceased, has been shot twice and is in critical condition. Upon receiving information about the shooting, local police reached the scene to investigate the entire incident.

**Statement of the injured**

Kamlesh Rai, the injured father, stated that they were shot by Patidars in a conspiracy to snatch property. Patidars, including Priyanshu Rai and six others, arrived armed and started firing indiscriminately at them. Both Kamlesh Rai and his son Aditya Kumar were shot in this incident and were subsequently admitted to the hospital for treatment.

**Hospital update**

Dr. Ravi Ranjan, the doctor at the hospital, mentioned that two injured people were brought to the hospital for treatment after the shooting incident. One of them succumbed to his injuries, while the other is wounded and has been referred to a higher center due to his critical condition. The investigation is ongoing to determine the main cause of the incident and efforts are being made to identify and arrest the culprits involved in the entire sequence of events.
