Agriculture Department in Gopalganj, Bihar organized a two-day agricultural machinery fair to introduce farmers to advanced techniques in farming. The fair showcased various modern machines to help farmers engage in technology-based farming and earn higher profits. One of the highlighted machines was a new device that eliminates the need for manual labor in sugarcane farming, making it easier for farmers to cultivate sugarcane and reducing costs.
Bhim Kumar Yadav, a farmer from Gopalganj, explained that sugarcane farming is done on a large scale in the region, and the introduction of this machine has made the process easier. The machine, priced at 57,000 rupees, is also subsidized by the government, with farmers being able to purchase it at a subsidized rate of 25,000 rupees. Another machine, called a tiller, is also being subsidized at the same rate, providing farmers with a cost-effective solution to improve their farming practices.
To purchase these machines, farmers are required to submit various documents, including their Aadhar card, bank passbook, and a copy of their farmer credit card. The subsidized amount will be directly transferred to the farmer’s bank account. The sugarcane farming machine showcased at the fair is efficient, allowing farmers to easily cultivate sugarcane and even use it for irrigation purposes.
Overall, the agricultural machinery fair in Gopalganj aimed to make agricultural work easier for farmers by introducing new machines that can significantly improve farming techniques and increase profitability.
