Delhi Government’s Chief Minister Women Honor Scheme
The Chief Minister Women Honor Scheme is the flagship scheme of the Delhi government. Under this scheme, every woman above 18 years of age will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000. To avail this scheme, it is necessary for the woman to be a resident of Delhi and have a voter ID card of the national capital. The Delhi government has made it clear that only women can apply for this scheme who are not availing any pension or assistance under any other scheme of the Delhi government. The woman must also have a voter ID of Delhi.
Uttar Pradesh Government’s Mission Shakti
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched its Mission Shakti scheme to enhance the safety, dignity, and empowerment of women. This scheme was started in phases which included setting up Mission Shakti rooms in all 59,000 gram panchayat buildings, forming one lakh women self-help groups (SHGs), and adding 1.73 lakh new beneficiaries. Maharashtra Government’s Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree Scheme
The Manjhi Kanya Bhagyashree scheme is for the women of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, the Maharashtra government provides financial assistance. Those who have a daughter are given Rs 50,000 for a period of 18 years, and if there are two daughters, Rs 25,000 each is given in their names. This benefit is applicable only to families with a monthly income of up to 7.5 lakhs and after submitting a family planning certificate. Families receiving this benefit can withdraw the full interest after every six years.
