Fire Breaks Out in Furniture Shop
In Bhagalpur, Bihar, two incidents of fire have caused chaos. In the Habibpur police station area of the district, a massive fire broke out in the warehouse of a furniture company late Tuesday night. The incident occurred after midnight. Meanwhile, in the Tehbalpur village of the Lodipur police station area, a fire broke out in a tent. Many animals were severely injured in this fire, and a cylinder placed in the tent also exploded.
Fire in Furniture Shop Extinguished by Locals
According to local residents, the fire in the furniture shop in the Sharma Toli area of the Habibpur police station started around 1:30 am. By the time people tried to extinguish it and called the warehouse owner, the fire had spread completely. The flames were so intense that they could be seen from a distance. Local residents informed the Habibpur police station about the incident.
Efforts to Control the Fire Continue Until Morning
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police officers along with the fire department reached the scene with fire brigade vehicles. The fire was finally brought under control by around 4 am. The furniture warehouse manager, Anil Sharma, stated that he suffered a loss of millions in the fire, with dozens of furniture pieces, machines, wood, and plywood burning to ashes.
Fire Breaks Out in Tent in Tehbalpur Village
In another incident in the Tehbalpur village of the Lodipur police station area, a tent caught fire around 2:30 am. Many animals were severely injured, and the fodder worth thousands was burnt to ashes. An LPG cylinder was also present in the tent, causing the tent’s roof to fly and get stuck in a tree due to the blast. The fire department team managed to control the fire, and no information about any human casualties was reported.
