Good days are coming for farmers in Ara, Bihar, as they will no longer have to go through the hassle of dealing with electricity department officials to get a power connection for tube wells. Instead, the electricity department will visit every panchayat in the district and take applications from farmers for agricultural work. From February 5th to February 16th, camps will be set up in all 82 panchayats in Ara, where farmers can avail benefits.
During the camps, department officials including junior engineers and other staff will be present. Applications will be submitted online based on the documents provided by the applicants. Beneficiary farmers are required to bring their Aadhaar card, photo, and land documents to the camp. Camps will be organized in all rural areas of panchayats under the Ara and Jagdishpur divisions. The district has already received 14,000 applications, and preparations have been made to provide agricultural connections based on all applications received during the camps from February 5th to February 16th.
Under the RDS Scheme, the district is also working on rapidly implementing 44 agricultural feeders, including 17 new ones. To provide relief to farmers and facilitate easy access to electricity connections, camps are being organized at the panchayat level. Farmers are urged to visit the camps with their documents and apply for connections without any additional expenses.
The entire district has been divided into seven sections according to the sections of the electricity department, and the allocation of panchayats has been done accordingly. The sections include Ara Gramin, Karisath, Udwantnagar, Sandesh, Geedha, Koilwar, and Badhara. Officials and staff have been assigned to all panchayats, and the date and location have been specified as well.
