Heat Wave in Sachidanand/Patna
The scorching heat and dry hot winds have left people in Sachidanand/Patna in a miserable state. This is just the beginning of the summer, with more hot winds expected in the coming days. The temperature is expected to stay above 42°C during this period, with most districts likely to surpass 40°C. According to scientists at the Patna Meteorological Center, relief from this double attack of heat is not expected until April 23.
Alert for Loo in Several Districts
From today until April 22, districts like Gopalganj, Siwan, Buxar, Bhabua, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Begusarai, and Khagaria are likely to experience a heatwave. Other districts like West Champaran, East Champaran, Saran, Bhojpur, Patna, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Munger, Bhagalpur, and Banka are also expected to have hot days. A yellow alert has been issued for all these districts. The maximum temperature in these districts is likely to reach up to 42°C.
Temperature Soaring in Bihar
On April 19, the maximum temperature in Bhojpur reached 42.3°C, Sheikhpura 43°C, Aurangabad 42.2°C, Jamui 41.8°C, Nawada 42°C, Patna 41.2°C, Gaya 42.1°C, Dehri 41.6°C, Nalanda, Banka 41.3°C, and Jiradei 41.6°C. Today, on April 20, Bihar is expected to have a maximum temperature between 40°C to 42°C and a minimum temperature between 24°C to 28°C. Currently, there is no relief in sight from the heatwave and loo.
