Extreme Heatwave Grips Bihar

People in Bihar are currently facing intense heatwaves, with temperatures reaching as high as 44.4°C. The scorching heat is causing discomfort both indoors and outdoors, with no relief in sight. The Meteorological Center in Patna has issued warnings, advising people to avoid going outside between 11 am and 3 pm.

Continued Hot Weather Conditions

On April 28th, Bihar continues to experience hot and dry winds, with clear skies in several districts. Orange alerts have been issued in certain districts, while others are expected to face hot and humid conditions. The maximum temperature in Bihar is expected to range between 40°C to 42°C, with strong winds blowing at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h.

Record-breaking Temperatures in Bihar

Several districts in Bihar, including Sheikhpura, Bhagalpur, Navada, Banka, and Khagaria, have recorded temperatures exceeding 40°C. Sheikhpura recorded the highest temperature of 44.4°C, with a total of 17 districts surpassing the 40°C mark. The intense heatwave is expected to continue, posing challenges for residents throughout the state.
