**Rising Temperatures in Bihar:**

The heatwave in Bihar has intensified, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius in 26 districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert and advised people to take precautions to protect themselves from the scorching heat. The weather has been hot and dry in the past 24 hours, with Motihari and several other districts recording temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.

**Sheikhpura Records Highest Temperature:**

According to the Meteorological Department, Sheikhpura was the hottest district in Bihar in the last 24 hours, with the maximum temperature reaching 43.9 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 20.1 degrees Celsius in Saharsa’s Agawanpur. The flow of hot and dry northwesterly winds continues, with cyclonic circulation present in northeastern Assam and surrounding areas. Light rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in Araria and Kishanganj in the next 24 hours.

**Forecast for Maximum Temperatures:**

Weather scientists predict that the maximum temperatures in the western districts of North Bihar, such as West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, East Champaran, and Gopalganj, will range from 40 to 42 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures between 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. Similar temperature ranges are expected in other regions of Bihar, with some areas likely to experience a heatwave situation from April 28 to May 1. The districts of Sheikhpura, Motihari, Khagaria, Jamui, and Darbhanga are expected to be the hottest during this period.

**Districts with High Temperature Projections:**

Several districts in Bihar are expected to experience maximum temperatures ranging from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius, with minimum temperatures between 22 to 28 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has advised residents to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the heatwave. The weather forecast indicates a continuation of hot and dry conditions in most parts of the state, with temperatures likely to rise further in the coming days.
