Impact of Heat Wave in Patna

The heat wave in most districts of Bihar has wreaked havoc, affecting the daily lives of the common people. The intense heat and scorching weather have especially been observed to have a significant impact on young children. Keeping this in mind, the District Magistrate of Patna has imposed a ban on school operations during midday in all schools in the capital city.

Directive Issued by the District Magistrate

The District Magistrate of Patna, Kapil Ashok, has issued a directive to enforce Section 144 of the Patna Criminal Procedure Code 1973 in all schools of Patna. The copy of the directive has been issued for all government and non-government schools related to the education department. The specifics of the directive are outlined in the official order sent out by the DM.

Precautionary Measures for School Timings

In his order, DM Kapil mentioned the current situation of extreme heat and sunstroke in Patna district, which poses a risk of adverse effects on the health and lives of children. Therefore, he, as the District Magistrate of Patna, has imposed a ban on all academic activities in all private/government schools (including pre-schools and anganwadi centers) up to class 10 from 11:30 am to 4 pm.



पटना जिले में हीट वेव का कहर बढ़ रहा है और इसके कारण बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य पर गम्भीर प्रभाव हो रहे हैं। इसके मद्देनजर, पटना के जिलाधिकारी ने सभी विद्यालयों को दोपहर के समय में विद्यालय संचालक पर रोक लगाने का निर्देश दिया है। इसके अनुसार, शैक्षणिक गतिविधियों पर पूर्वाह्न 11:30 बजे से संध्या 4 बजे तक प्रतिबंध लगाया जाएगा। यह कदम बच्चों के स्वास्थ्य को सुरक्षित रखने के लिए उचित माना जा रहा है।
