Madan Sahni, a senior JDU leader from Mithila, states that in the previous Lok Sabha elections, NDA won all the seats in Mithila. NDA also won 10 out of 12 seats in the assembly elections in Darbhanga. Similarly, in Madhubani, NDA won 8 out of 10 seats. It is evident that Mithila holds great importance for NDA.
BJP spokesperson Arvind Singh says that although NDA is strong in all districts of Bihar, Mithila has always been a stronghold for NDA, and they are trying to strengthen their stronghold. The Grand Alliance also understands the importance of this region. They accuse NDA of shaking its roots in this region, which is why they have made this decision, but it will not benefit them. In any case, the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 dates is imminent. It is believed that it could be announced by the end of February or the beginning of March. In that case, the efforts to secure political equations will also intensify. However, the decision of who benefits and who loses from securing Mithila will only be made after the Lok Sabha election results.
