Shocking Case of Honor Killing in Darbhanga, Bihar
A case of honor killing has come to light from Darbhanga, Bihar. The incident took place on March 25th when the police found a body in a field. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the victim, Yasmeen, was murdered in an act of honor killing by her father, Mohammad Nasir.
Discovery of the Victim and Investigation
The incident occurred in Rasoolpur village under Hayaghat police station in Darbhanga district. The body of the young woman, believed to be around 18 years old, was found in a maize field on March 25th. The villagers who saw the body raised an alarm, leading to the police being informed. It was later discovered that Yasmeen had been missing since March 22nd, but her family had not reported her disappearance to the authorities.
Arrest of the Culprit and Confession
Following a thorough investigation, the police arrested Mohammad Nasir for the murder of his daughter, Yasmeen. Nasir confessed to the crime of strangling his daughter to death due to alleged illicit relations with a young man. The SP of Darbhanga, Shubham Arya, held a press conference to provide details of the case to the media, confirming the arrest and confession of Nasir.
