Veerpal’s Desire to Send Darshan Abroad
Veerpal Kaur realized that Darshan Kaur also harbored the desire to go abroad. Living in Barnala, Punjab, Darshan wanted to travel abroad at any cost. Veerpal took the opportunity to fulfill Darshan’s dreams, offering to help her send Darshan abroad. After some negotiations, a deal was struck for one lakh rupees.
Darshan’s Deportation from Malaysia
On October 22, 2023, Veerpal sent Darshan from the Indira Gandhi International Airport to Thailand. Once in Thailand, Darshan was sent to Malaysia by Veerpal’s associates. However, Darshan’s stay in Malaysia was short-lived as she was deported back to Delhi by Malaysian security agencies due to a fake visa in her passport.
Legal Action Against Veerpal and Darshan
After investigation, it was found that the stamp on Darshan’s passport from Malaysia Immigration was forged. Darshan was then arrested and charged under various sections of the IPC and Passport Act. Veerpal, on the other hand, revealed that she sent Darshan abroad for financial gain. This led to a police operation resulting in Veerpal’s arrest in Sangrur, Punjab.
