Fresh spell of rainfall in Central India

Strong winds, storms, and lightning strikes are also being predicted in some states, prompting health concerns due to the impact of weather changes on individuals.
Alerts issued by IMD for Central India and Himalayan regions
IMD has predicted a fresh spell of enhanced rainfall activity in Central India on 26 & 27 February 2024, along with thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning. Alerts have been issued for states in Central India to mitigate any potential damage. Moreover, Western Himalayan regions are expected to experience increased rainfall/snowfall during the same period. Special precautions are advised for residents in high-altitude areas to ensure their safety during the anticipated weather changes.
Weather changes in various states
As February draws to a close, weather patterns are shifting across the country, including the capital city of Delhi. IMD has provided updates indicating rainfall possibilities in Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Ladakh on 26th February, while Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may experience rain and snowfall on 26th and 27th February. Delhi is expected to see partial cloud cover on Saturday (24th February) with a minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius. The forecast for Delhi between 25th and 27th February includes a chance of rainfall, with Friday recording a maximum temperature of 24.4 degrees Celsius and moderate air quality.
