Read on the app ★Today is a crucial day for Jharkhand. After the arrest of Hemant Soren in the land scam, now the state’s throne is about to be in the hands of Champai Soren. Just before taking the oath, Champai Soren met Hemant Soren’s father and veteran leader of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Shibu Soren. After this meeting, Champai Soren said, “Gurujis are our ideals, we came to seek blessings from Gurujis (Shibu Soren) and Matagi (Rupi Soren) before taking the oath… I was associated with the Jharkhand movement and I am their disciple.”
Political chaos has intensified in Jharkhand since the arrest of Hemant Soren. Jharkhand BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev said, “…for the past two days, the leaders of the ruling alliance in Jharkhand have used disrespectful language for the Governor and central leaders…even the first letter had technical errors…we hope that the dark chapter of Hemant Soren’s 4-year rule in Jharkhand is not repeated…one thing is clear that although Champai Soren has become the Chief Minister, the power strings will remain with the Soren family…”
BJP MLA CP Singh said, “Champai Soren is a senior JMM leader. He is a founding member of JMM. He has also been a minister before. He is loyal to the Soren family. He will now be the Chief Minister, but the Soren family will still control things.”
Union Minister Arjun Munda said, “In the last 3 years, the Hemant Soren government has looted Jharkhand and various scandals like land scam, mining scam, private lease scam have come to light. Instead of telling the truth to the people, they tried to escape from all these. That is why they failed to answer today, the investigation is underway. I think the country wants to move forward with good governance.”
