Increased Criminal Activities on India-Nepal Border

Despite strict security measures, two criminals attempted to enter India from Nepal with pistols in broad daylight to commit a crime. However, they were intercepted by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). It is said that the active presence of security forces thwarted the criminals’ plans. The investigation is still ongoing, and the police are currently refraining from disclosing any information about the case.

Arrest of Criminals Attempting to Enter India from Nepal

According to reports, two youths were trying to enter India from Nepal with pistols, attempting to deceive an SSB jawan and cross the border. They had concealed pistols in their pants in a cinematic style and were heading towards the Indian border when they spotted the SSB personnel and panicked, trying to flee. The SSB jawans stationed near the customs bridge saw the suspected criminals fleeing from the Nepalese side and apprehended them, with one being caught near Dankan Road by the SSB.

Seizure of Weapons and Arrest of a Nepali Resident

The Station House Officer of Raxaul, Rajiv Nandan Sinha, and the Station House Officer of Haraiya, Anuj Kumar, along with a police team, reached the scene where they recovered two pistols and two magazines hidden in the bushes of the Jalan Campus. The arrested criminal is said to be a resident of Nepal, and the police are investigating the motive behind the two criminals’ entry into India from Nepal. While the police are currently refraining from disclosing any information, efforts are being made to curb criminal activities related to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
